USDOT has published a Notice of Funding Opportunity for a new Rural Autonomous Vehicle Program (RAV). The RAV program research focuses on applications of automated vehicle technologies for rural communities that support transportation strategic goals and objectives documented in the USDOT strategic plans and documents. Applications will be accepted through March 13, 2024.

FTA will be hosting a 90-minute virtual Management Information System (MIS) Overview training. This training will provide an overview of MIS instructions. Attendees will be able to ask questions and there will be a live demonstration of the DAMIS website.
The training will be offered on the following dates and times:
Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 ET
Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM, ET
Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM, ET
Registration is now open for all sessions. Once registered, a link will be sent the morning of the session.

National RTAP recently started offering eLearning training on active shooter preparedness. There are two courses available, one for Operations Personnel and one for Management, on general concepts, hypothetical situations, and recommendations based on best practices for active shooter situations. Please click on this link to be directed to the National RTAP eLearning system.
National RTAP is also hosting an Active Shooter Preparedness Training for Rural Transit Systems on April 2, 2024 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Registration is available.
